From 2000-2006, JJ Vance Memorial Scholarships were awarded to deserving graduating seniors at East Chapel Hill High School in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. The scholarship was established by the family and friends of JJ Vance, who was a student-athlete at East Chapel Hill at the time of his death, in 1998. The JJ Vance Foundation expanded the scholarship program to South Florida high school graduates. It was eventually replaced by the JJ Vance Memorial Summer Internship in Biological and Computational Sciences. Please visit the “Internships” tab for more information.
